Arnold Chan, Sc.D., M.D.

Dr. Chan is a pharmacoepidemiologist. He researches medical product use and safety, in particular studying large, linked and automated health care databases.

  • Before joining LifeSciences, Dr. Chan was director of the pharmacoepidemiology program at the Harvard School of Public Health and associate professor in Harvard’s Department of Epidemiology.
  • He is a Fellow of the International Society of Pharmacoepidemiology.
  • He has published more than 90 articles in peer-reviewed journals and books, and is co-editor of the textbook Pharmacoepidemiology and Therapeutic Risk Management, published in February 2008.
  • Dr. Chan has a medical degree from National Taiwan University, in Taipei, and M.P.H. and Sc.D. degrees from the Harvard University School of Public Health.
