Dr. Dan Dunn is responsible for the design and development of our company’s breakthrough predictive modeling and information tools, including Impact and Symmetry suite of products.
- Before joining OptumInsight, Dr. Dunn was an economist at the Harvard University School of Public Health and technical director on a project developing physician payment systems for Medicare.
- More recently, he assisted The National Committee for Quality Assurance in developing the new Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS), a tool used by more than 90 percent of America’s health plans to measure care and service.
- He is a regular presenter at academic and professional conferences in the areas of risk and predictive modeling.
- He has published more than 30 articles on a range of topics in health services research.
- Dr. Dunn holds a Ph.D. degree in Economics from the University of New Hampshire.
