Mike Jacobs is the Chief Architect for the Optum Care Suite, which marries insightful data from electronic medical records with related health claims, patient-reported outcomes and powerful analytics.  He was previously the architect and principal developer of the Parallel Analytics Framework, which is a breakthrough technology that enables reuse and massive scalability of OptumInsight application components.

• Before joining OptumInsight, Mr. Jacobs wrote software for the health care, financial services and entertainment worlds, and designed CPU chips for a large computer manufacturer.
• He has over 30 years of experience, has published numerous magazine articles and invention disclosures, and holds multiple patents in the United States, Europe, Japan and the Gulf States.
• Mr. Jacobs holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Chicago.
