Dr. Peter Lindgren was instrumental in establishing Stockholm Health Economics as a leading consulting group, and acted as the CEO for the company upon acquisition by Optum in 2007.

• Lindgren is an internationally recognized health economics expert in cardiovascular medicine and diabetes. He has published more than 45 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on economics alongside clinical trials, health economic modeling, burden of illness, clinical praxis, epidemiology and other subjects.
• He is often invited to speak at conferences and pharmaceutical companies. He has also served on the steering committees for clinical trials and product-specific advisory boards.
• Lindgren holds an M.Sc. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. degree in Epidemiology from Karolinska Institute, both in Stockholm.
