Jerry Knutson serves as Chief Financial Officer of OptumInsight. He leads the organization's global accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, capital management and real estate functions.

Prior to his role at OptumInsight, Mr. Knutson served as Chief Financial Officer for Ovations.  From 2001 through 2003, he worked as the Chief Financial/Administrative Officer of OptumInsight in its i3Research organization, based in London.  His responsibilities included accounting, proposal costing, IT, and human capital. He also worked to streamline the administrative/overhead costs of the organization – which had been formed by three disparate acquisitions in the preceding several years.

Mr. Knutson also spent eleven years at Price Waterhouse, five in an international developing market setting (Egypt and Indonesia), in the audit and consulting divisions. In his expatriate positions at Price Waterhouse, Mr. Knutson worked with American companies looking to do business in Egypt and Indonesia, helping them navigate the local cultures, tax and business laws and business/financial settings.

Mr. Knutson is a 1987 graduate of Marquette University with a degree in Accounting. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota in 2000 and is a (non-current) licensed Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant.
