Karin Keitel serves as general counsel for OptumInsight. Before joining OptumInsight in 2006, Keitel served as deputy general counsel for UnitedHealth Group, where she was responsible for technology procurement for the corporation. Prior to joining United in 2004, she was a partner at Dorsey & Whitney in Minneapolis, where she led the technology transactions group and advised technology, pharmaceutical and medical device companies on complex technology deals. She also served as an associate at Cooley Godward in Palo Alto, California, where she practiced in the areas of corporate and technology law.

Keitel holds her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Yale University and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Williams College.
