Optum Provider Portal is a secure, cloud-based provider portal that allows you to build a network of referring providers with ease.

Optum Provider Portal is a new addition to the Optum PM and Physician EMR solution suite and is fully integrated with the Optum PM and Physician EMR practice management and system. The Optum Provider Portal allows PM and Physician EMR providers to invite physicians who share a common patient to establish a relationship and sets the groundwork for more effective physician-to-physician communication. Using Optum Provider Portal gives PM and Physician EMR providers:


Real-time access to current patient records

Optum PM and Physician EMR providers are able to send a Continuity of Care Document (CCD) through the Referral Network’s secure messaging center that can be viewed or exported for use in an external EMR system.

Strengthen patient care with a strong network

After they have been invited and registered as a member of the Provider Portal, providers will have a Provider Portal account which allows them to be invited to join other PM and Physician EMR providers, and accept or decline those invitations with the click of a button.

Communicate effectively

With Optum Provider Portal, physicians can communicate with other physicians and receive timely patient data and external providers can log onto the secure messaging portal and receive those messages, request more information, or provide patient feedback.

Easy to use

Because Optum Provider Portal is seamlessly integrated with Optum Practice Management, providers do not need to install another client or separate application: all communication between providers is simple and secure and works through any Internet browser.
